Raise-It!

Ever since we bought our 1997 Softail and then our 2000 Road King, we have wanted to run a tachometer on 'em.  Problem was, we wanted and needed our windshield bag to hold all our pens, ear plugs, cell phone and other assorted junk, and the two can not be run together.  That darn bag hangs down too low and interferes and hits the tachometer.

Not any more.

This ingenious heavy 12-gauge show chrome bracket allows  you Harley Davidson customers the ability to raise your Windshield Bags up two and a half (2.5”) inches so that you can run both a Tachometer AND a Windshield bag on your motorcycle!

Fits FLSTF, FLSTC, FLSTN, FLH,and FLHR models equiped with H-D King-Size Windshields.  Does Not Fit With 100th Anniversary Logo Accessory Windshields.

Fits all standard windshields with 1" wide cross bars and bags on any bike.   Fits all standard Harley Davidson windshields.

SEE IF IT'S A FIT:

"Measure twice, drill once"  is good advice.

Will my bag work?

This cool goodie is designed to work with Harley Davidson manufactured windshield bags.  While other aftermarket bags may work fine, all are not created equal.  Some may be taller (deeper bag) and others may have a wider than 2 inch flange bracket (the metal piece attached to the bag itself)  The Raise-it! bracket accepts no larger than two inch flange bag brackets.  Just measure this bracket on the back of your bag, if it's width is 2 inches or less; you're good to go!  All Harley Davidson windshield bags have 2 inch wide bag brackets.

Fits FLSTF, FLSTC, FLSTN, FLH,and FLHR models equipped with H-D King-Size Windshields.  Does Not Fit With 100th Anniversary Logo Accessory Windshields.

How can I tell if it will fit with my tach set up?

Because a new hole must be created (i.e., drilled) in the windshield (to accept the bags new bolt height and mate with the Raise-it!™ brackets top hole) make sure that the new bags placement is acceptable to you BEFORE you purchase the bracket or, if purchased, before you drill the mounting hole.  Here's how:  Go out to your bike and measure two and a half inches up from the center acorn nut on the outside of the shield and make a mark with a felt pen.  Position your windshield bag as you would on the inside, lining up the marked hole.  This is where your bag will end up once mounted.

No two bikes are the same.

As you can imagine, there are so many slight variations in how the tachs can be mounted on your bike - either by you or when your dealers technician installed it - or the different type of windshield bags you can run. Some tachometers have been mounted higher than others, some lower.  Even custom tachometer housings like Harley's billet housing etc can effect the looks and bag clearance because they may sit more upright and are mounted slightly different.  Likewise, bags differ too.  Just measure and check before you install the bracket to make sure that you are happy.

What makes you happy?

We have chosen a 2.5 inch rise in the Raise-it! bracket™ to keep the finished looks of the setup trick yet stock looking, as well as not to impede your vision.   It's not about a right or wrong fit here, but about what makes you happy!  If you are not satisfied 100% we're not either!  Having a bag and a tach is the only way to go!!

Here's our jazzed-up rule of thumb ...

If you can read the "red line" on the tachometer AND have a windshield bag too, we're lovin life!  Every other point of the needle is academic anyway for us jazzed-up cycle hounds!

How Sweet it is...

Hi there - I am riding a Harley 1998 Road King Classic. I ordered your Formotion clock a few weeks ago, and found it was the answer I was after. I was constantly having to look at my watch (while riding 70mph on the Interstate). I mounted it on the accessory cover over the fork lock. Yesterday, I installed the Raise-it for my windshield bag. I can now see my tachometer. Previously, I had used Velcro on the bag and windshield. It was constantly falling off.

Thank you very much for your innovative products. Keepem' comin'.
