As 2006 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Champion
Mike Stefanik of
Coventry, R.I. was honored with a
Formotion Holloman 846TS
Special Edition watch from the VP of Whelen Corp. as the 2006 NASCAR Whelen
Modified Tour Champion
This is Mike's 9th NASCAR Championship, which
ties the legendary late Richie Evans for the most
NASCAR Championships ever won. Mike has won the
NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Championship 7 times and
the NASCAR Grand National Busch North Series
Championship twice. No other driver, in the history
of NASCAR, has won more championships than Mike

STEVE PARK RETURNS
TO WHELEN/MARSH RACING BUSCH TEAM
(February 1,
2006) NASCAR veteran Steve Park will return
to Marsh Racing for the part-time ride for the
upcoming Busch Series season. The 38-year old will
pilot the Marsh Racing's No.31 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
with sponsorship from Whelen Engineering.
Park spent 2005 with Orleans Racing in the Craftsman
Truck Series and won the NCTS Truck race at
California Speedway last February.
"I'm thrilled to announce that I will drive the
No.31 Whelen Engineering Monte Carlo for 8 -10
select races during the 2006 Busch Series season,"
Park stated. "Everyone at Whelen and Marsh Racing
has always been so good to me and I am so excited to
be back behind the wheel of the Whelen machine."
”It feels like a
member of the family has come back home”, Whelen
Motorsports Director Phil Kurze said. “We were very
successful with Steve before and we look forward to
running up front in 2006. He is a sponsor's dream
because he has the ability, a dedicated fan support
and a great relationship with the media.”
The first scheduled
race will be the March 11 th event at the Las Vegas
Motor Speedway. A complete schedule of races will be
provided in the next couple of weeks.
