Clip-It! |
Clip-It!™
Now in Chrome or New Powdercoat Black!
It was
one thing running out of power for our cell phones on the road - Our
Power Pod™ fixed that issue. But missing
important calls still was a problem for some of us. Others needed to
have their iPod with them at all times ... still others who commuted
across the Golden Gate Bridge, wanted a mounting location for their Fast
Pass box. What to do?
Formotion's Clip-It™ was born. A simple and unique mounting
technology that allows for anything that can be clipped to a belt, can now
be clipped to your bike!

Mounting on your bike just like our gauges using
Formotion's patented "Stem and Barrel" technology on any 1/4 inch bolt or screw
(or mount it with the handlebar mount on any 7/8" or 1"
handlebar) the Clip-It! mounts in minutes
and once complete, allows for your cell phone, iPod, MP3, Fast Pass or just about anything
else that clips to your belt, to be clipped to your bike. The only question
now
is
... why didn't we invent this sooner! Clip-It! is Patent Pending.
It's made of quality stainless steel and polished to a mirror finish
and will last for years and years of harsh exposure.

With Cell Phone - Switch Housing Mount

With Apple's iPod - Switch Housing Mount. Every Clip-It! we ship
comes with special isolating rubber mounting system designed
specifically to help eliminate your iPod from hanging and stopping play.

Trans-It!
Beautiful soft neoprene clip on bags with the Formotion "bullet"
logo in two sizes made in sizes especially for your iPod, MP3,
Fast Pass or any other use you can think of! Clip-It! and
go!
Clip-It! Tips
1) Use your iPod™
or MP3 player to feed your Dash Radio!
Using a simple 'patch' cable from your
local electronics store you can feed you dash radio all your MP3
music simply by jumping from the headphone jack on your player to
the 'aux' input on your dash radio! Now you can play all
your music directly through your bikes speakers. Done!
2) Watch your
lines
Make sure when listening to your MP3
player on your bike, that you give enough earphone cord so that
you can turn the bikes handlebars fully. Likewise, be
careful that any wires or cords associated with your player do not
come in contact with hot engine parts - Duh!
3) Does your
iPod Lock up and stop playing?
The iPod uses a memory cache.
It is always thinking ahead for you. When the unit gets
certain vibrations from the motorcycle, the hard drive will stop
and the iPod will play from it's limited (20-30 min) cache.
Once the cache is played through the iPod will hang (stop
working). This is because your unit is getting too much "high
frequency buzz" which the hard drive hates!. The iPod much
prefers and deals with large and even stronger vibrations
better, such as when you wear it running or walking.
Every Clip-It! we ship comes with special isolating rubber
mounting system designed specifically to help eliminate your
iPod from hanging and stopping play. Once installed, you
may notice the
Clip-It! seems to spin more easily and may even see you iPod
bouncing more that you think is proper when you bike is at idle,
but it likes this environment much better than the former.
4) Our
disclaimer - Check your local laws
If you ride (like we do) with your MP3
player and earphones, just make sure it is legal in your state to
do so. Some states restrict both ear plugs and or earphones and
still others restrict their use to only one ear so that the rider
can still be able to hear their surroundings. Always follow local
and state laws when it comes to onboard listening devices and
radios.
